Resources and information for journalists and media covering the Brussels e-scooter ban.

About The Campaign

Save Our Scooters is a grassroots initiative founded by daily commuters in Brussels. We are rider-led and welcome funding from anyone who supports the cause, including the operators themselves, while retaining full control of our message.

Our goal is to urge the Brussels regional government to reconsider its blanket ban scheduled for January 1, 2027. We advocate for strict, sensible regulation (improved infrastructure, mandatory drop zones, and speed limits) rather than a total prohibition that punishes tens of thousands of users.

Quotable Lines

"A blanket ban is a failure of policy. It's the equivalent of banning cars because of a few bad drivers. We need regulation, not prohibition."

— Save Our Scooters Campaign

"Over 70% of rides occur when public transport is either unavailable or highly inefficient. Banning shared scooters removes a vital lifeline for shift workers and suburban commuters."
